Hi there.
Did any of yall ever use the nonstick Teflon labeling stuff to mark clothes?
My hubby's x-wife used to use it to label shirts but I have no idea how to search for it and can't find it. Does anybody know what it's called or even what I'm talking about? It's not the adhesive kind. It's the same width but in order to attach it, I'll need to punch holes and sew the tags to the clothing tags. I like this style though because it allows for oneword descriptors of t-shirts, etc. I could put TCU on our TCU shirts instead of the dark purple label that comes with the aluminum tags. See what I mean? Also, it would be easier to coordinate ties and shirts because I could customize the labels.
I've searched on Teflon label tape and braille labeling so far but all I get is the adhesive stuff. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Yes, I know what you are talking about and I have some, bought about 4 years ago and I recently received an email (sometime this year) about participating in a study about it's durability so they must still be selling it.
When I get a chance to poke around, I'll post back here again.
BTW, my issue with this stuff is that it hasn't held up well going through the dryer. The Braille sort of melts, although not completely but so that it takes some concentration to figure out. Now that I think about it, that was when I was using the laundry facilities in the apartment where I was living. I have my own washer and dryer now and the dryer does not seem to get nearly as hot.
Awesome. Thank you. You're right about it not holding up as well in the heat. Don't even think about sending it to the dry cleaner. I think it'll work for our purposes though.
DomesticGoddess, sent you a PM.
Also, posting a link for what might be the Teflon tape, but I've a feeling it might not be available any more:

Awesome! Thanks. I'll check it out.
sounds like a very handy tool and would be very useful, smiles.
